Extended Care

Kindergarten-8th Grade Extended Care

Extended Care is offered for kindergarten through 8th grade students. The priorities of our program are ensuring that all students are safe and welcome. Based on ASB's campus in the ASB School Gym and the Performing Arts Center, we provide a wide variety of fun activities. Our program serves as an extension to the school day that allows our parents the flexibility of safe, affordable childcare before and after the regular school hours. We aim to maintain open and on-going communications with the parents.

Hours

Mornings: Mondays-Fridays 7:00-8:30AM

Afternoons: Mondays 2:00-5:45PM, Tuesdays-Fridays 3:00-5:45PM

Information

  • Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students are walked to Extended Care each afternoon by a homeroom teacher. For 3rd-8th grade students, it is the expectation that the students will follow their family's afterschool plan.
  • A nut- and soy-free snack is provided by ASB. Students are not allowed to eat their own snack, with the exception of students who have dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • It is required that a parent, guardian, or designated adult signs students in and/or out of Extended Care.
  • All ASB School rules apply at Extended Care. The Extended Care program is an extension of the school day and thus follows the exact same rules as ASB School. This includes following the school dress code.

Camp ASB

In June and July, the Extended Care program turns into a full-day, limited offering summer camp, named Camp ASB. Camp ASB is designed as a service to our families and we offer a variety of options. Families may use Camp ASB as a drop-in, pay-as-you-go program, or they can choose a discounted prepayment option if they know their level of need will be more consistent.

Registration information for Camp ASB 2026 will be shared with families in early 2026. For any Camp ASB questions, please email Dakota Cruz.

Kinder Camp 2025

This summer, ASB will host two sessions of Kinder Camp. Kinder Camp is a program that allows our incoming kindergarten students a sneak peek at their new school and incorporates a mixture of curriculum, play, and the opportunity to meet teachers in the kindergarten classrooms. Kinder Camp will be led by a combination of PreK, kindergarten, and Camp ASB teachers. Each of these components prepare the new kindergarten students not just for kindergarten, but kindergarten at ASB School.

Kinder Camp will run from 9:00AM-1:00PM and each incoming kindergarten student is invited to attend one session.

    • Session 1: August 12th - 14th (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
    • Session 2: August 19th - 21st (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

If you have any questions about Kinder Camp, please contact Director of Extended Care, Dakota Cruz.
