Giving FAQs

As a parochial school, we are dedicated to being accessible to all who desire a Catholic education. Maintaining affordable tuition is a critical part of our mission. Tuition and parish support only cover 85% of operating costs, the remainder is made up though contributions to the Annual Fund, as well as special fundraising events such as the auction, Walk-a-thon, and our Scrip program.

Because of the generous support from the ASB community, which generates more than $1,000,000 annually in essential funding, we are able to offer rigorous academics, arts education, state-of-the-art technology, competitive teacher salaries, and tuition assistance to families in need.

The investment of the entire ASB community is relied upon for our continued success. Thank you for support, we appreciate your generosity.

Why should I give to ASB?

Your gift is an important source of essential funding that allows us to offer rigorous academics, arts education, state-of-the-art technology, competitive teacher salaries, and tuition assistance to families in need.

Why does ASB charge tuition and then ask for additional support through fundraising?

Tuition and parish support only cover 85% of our operating costs, the remainder is made up though contributions to the Annual Fund, as well as special fundraising events such as the auction and Walk-a-thon, and our Scrip program.

Why doesn’t ASB just raise tuition for the additional support?

We want Catholic education to be accessible to as many families as possible. By keeping our tuition costs down and the increases to a minimum, we remain an option for families across the city. In addition, contributions made to the school above and beyond tuition are considered donations, which offer parents the additional benefit of a tax deduction.

Is my donation, or gift, tax-deductible?

Yes, ASB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and as such, your contribution is tax-deductible.
