Welcome to the ASB Band webpage!
Here you will find a basic overview of each of the five instrumental groups. From this page you can view and download both the Band Information form and the Registration form.
**Signatures are need on the Registration form!**
This ensemble is for the students that are new to instrumental music. Most of the ensemble is comprised of 4th graders however it is open to everyone! If you want to learn the clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or percussion, then this is your class!
Concert Band/Marching Band
This group is the “musical hub” of the entire program. All of the following ensembles stem from the concert band. Concert Band is for students that completed Beginning Band or were placed into the group via an individual assessment. This ensemble focuses on performing traditional concert band literature, while simultaneously developing individual musicianship and technique.
The jazz ensemble provides an opportunity for students to learn and refine musical skills in the jazz tradition. Students will gain a fundamental knowledge of swing, improvisation, and the jazz tradition.
This is the advanced wind ensemble class. The Wind Ensemble is for advanced students looking for a smaller ensemble with more challenging music. Due to smaller numbers, this ensemble focuses more on individual musicianship.
This ensemble places a premium on playing as one musical unit. The ASB Drumline will develop their own music, and learn the fundamental skills of being a drummer.
**Requirements for joining each of these ensembles are on the downloadable forms below**
Hopefully most of your questions can be answered in the downloadable documents, but if not please contact me!
