**NEW PARENT BULLETIN BOARD Website**
Please go to our new Parent Board Website at: www.asbparentboard.org and find out the latest about Parent Board activities and ways that you can get involved!
The Parent Board directs the activities and duties of the Parent Association, which works within the framework of the parish school and consults the principal before decisions are made. The Board consists of 12 members who are elected by the parent community and who serve a two-year term. Two members of this board represent the Parents’ Association on the School Commission.
The purposes of the Parents’ Association are:
- To maintain effective communication between home and school.
- To provide a vehicle through which parents can provide service to the school.
- To offer a mechanism for parent education.
- To fundraise.
- To offer a mechanism for political action when needed.

Our ASB School community thrives because of the tremendous gifts of time and talent provided by all of our volunteers. Please remember that volunteer hours may be contributed by parents, students, other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Each family (grades K‐8) is required to complete a minimum of 35 volunteer hours to the school or parishes, including one hour of traffic duty per child. The requirement for Pre‐K families is a minimum of 18 volunteer hours to the school or parishes. We strongly encourage at least 5 hours of service to your parish.
If you have any questions about volunteering in general, or need some help coming up with ideas of how and where to help, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Nikki Casey firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to help you come up with some ideas.
Current Volunteer Needs:
- The School Store is seeking volunteers to work in the store during their open shifts. See link for more information, this is a great way to meet a lot of ASB families!
- The Scrip Team is seeking volunteers to sell Scrip after mass in both the Assumption Parish as well as the St. Bridget Parish. Contact Melissa Malley email@example.com for St. Bridget information and Chardie Byrne firstname.lastname@example.org for Assumption information.
- The Parent Ambassador program would love to have more volunteers for the Community Outreach and Parish Outreach “prongs” of the program. (We have many volunteers for Open Houses.) In particular, we need a few people to chair these sub-groups, i.e., be in charge of the Community Outreach volunteers, and separately the Parish Outreach volunteers. Please contact JJ Horner email@example.com for more information.

EASY Fundraising Opportunities To Help Our School!
Did you know there are several easy ways to make money for ASB without much effort! Please take a moment to look at the links below and educate yourself on how YOU can make a difference.
Are you already shopping on Amazon? Of course you are!! In one simple step, you can start donating .5% of most purchases you make on Amazon to ASB. The items are the same, prices are the same, there is no cost to you, there’s no reason NOT to make the switch. If your family owns their own business, please pass along this information to the supply purchasers there as well. Grandparents, friends, other relatives and associates, let’s get them all changed over to support ASB!
Just visit: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/ch/about to designate ASB as your Amazon Smile charitable organization. If you have any questions about the Amazon Smile program, please direct them to Michelle Cahill firstname.lastname@example.org.
YES, our school still participates in Box Tops, it IS still a thing! Collect Box Tops for your school on all participating items that you buy. You can make this a fun project for your child at home. See below for a link to the official collection sheets you can use. If you don’t have time to do the cutting and attaching at home on your own, don’t worry, we have volunteers available to do that for you, so please still send them in via the Wednesday envelope.
