I attended Catholic school from Pre-kindergarten through my senior year of high school at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, Maryland. I attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as a Master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities.
At ASB Since
This is my fourth year at ASB and my 7th year teaching. I taught second grade for three years in South Carolina. I absolutely love being apart of the ASB community. Fifth grade is an awesome age level to teach!
Why I Became An Educator
Being an educator allows me to constantly learn new things. Each day is completely new and unique. I feel so privileged to get to work with students and help foster their learning. I like being able to help students deepen their knowledge through the educational process.
Why I Like Working at ASB
ASB reminds me a lot of my childhood educational upbringing. I am surrounded by a supportive and caring faculty and staff. The energetic students make coming to work everyday fun and exciting.
My favorite book is Wonder by R. J. Palacio. This eye opening book highlights that although we can have many differences on the surface we hold many similarities on deeper levels. This is a wonderful book in teaching acceptance among all people.
