I grew up in Sacramento, California and attended both Folsom Middle School and Folsom High School. While in school I fell in love with band, with the hopes of one day becoming a college music professor. However, once in college I realized that teaching K-12 music felt like a better fit. This past June I graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in Jazz Studies and Music Education.
At ASB Since
This is my second year at ASB!
Why I Became An Educator
Both my middle school and high school band directors had lasting impressions on me as a musician and as a person. In college I realized most of my personal attributes were shaped by these two band directors. I knew I had to fulfill that same role and give back to the next generation of musicians.
Why I Like Working at ASB
The second I stepped onto the school grounds I felt welcomed by the other teachers and staff. During the first days of training numerous people reached out and extended a helping hand.
