Catholic Youth Organization Sports

The ASB sports program operates under The Archdiocese of Seattle’s Catholic Youth Organization athletic program with focus on effort, team building, and fun. Student in grades K-8th are invited to participate. CYO sports are organized by season and the sign-up deadlines occur in the months prior to the start of the activity. 

Mission Statement

The Assumption-St. Bridget athletic program supports the mission of the school in augmenting learning opportunities in the Catholic tradition. ASB supports the building of a faith community, and developing the moral thinking and the ethical spirit of students via an athletic program that consistently encourages participation, works towards competitive success, strives to develop athletic skills, and supports the values of good sportsmanship for all student athletes, coaches and spectators.

  • Accessible and affordable opportunities to participate in the sports program
  • Progression from initial participation to development of high levels of achievement
  • Committed and effective volunteer coaches who support the Catholic mission of ASB
  • A program that serves and inspires students, coaches and fans
  • Celebration of the ASB program within a faith community that values good sportsmanship at all times

Sports Offered

Cross Country (K-8th)

Season runs September- November, register in Spring/Summer

Soccer (K-8th)

Season runs September - November, register in Spring/Summer

Basketball (4th-8th)

Season runs November - January or early February, sign-up in Fall

Volleyball (5th-8th)

Season runs January - April, sign-up in Fall

Track and Field (4th-8th)

Season runs March- May, sign-up in Winter

 

Please make sure to read the ASB Athletic Handbook and Sports Pilot Registration Information.  Changes to the Athletic Handbook may be made at the discretion of the Principal or Athletic Director, at any time.  Questions should be directed Vice Principal of Operations and Director of Athletics, Dylan Pouley.
