Christy Dahl

Christy began her career in education in 2013, joining ASB in 2019. She completed her Bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University in Psychology and Political Science. As an undergraduate at Gonzaga, she was a member of the Women's Rowing team. Her experience as a collegiate athlete profoundly shaped her life and taught her many lessons and life skills that she pulls from in her day to day work. Christy completed her Masters degree in Education with a specialization in School Counseling from Seattle University. She is a certified School Counselor in Washington state. Christy's professional experience and training as a school counselor prepares her to work collaboratively and in partnership with students, parents and teachers. She works with students individually and in groups to support their emotional, social and academic growth. Christy works in partnership with parents, viewing parents as the primary educator of students, to support students in a variety of ways, including sharing ideas, recommendations, strategies and personal knowledge of students. In collaboration with teachers, she works to to support students by using evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs. Christy's primary goal is to promote mental health and well-being for all students.
