Admissions Policy & Procedures
Assumption Parish and St. Bridget parishes are committed to offering a Catholic education to all parishioners who desire it. This commitment is evident by the parishes’ support of the school’s mission, the parishes’ financial support, and the involvement of parishioners in the life of the school. To qualify as an active parishioner and be eligible for in-parish tuition, a family must be registered in Assumption Parish or St. Bridget Parish, attend Mass regularly, support the parish through sacrificial giving, and participate in parish life. All families applying for the upcoming school year must complete the Parish Reflection. Once you have completed this reflection, please contact your pastor to discuss the reflection and ask for his signature. This signed reflection must be turned in as part of your application.
ASB School uses these priorities in allocating spaces for students:
- Current families with siblings already in the school
- Parish families without siblings in the school
- Out-of-parish Catholic families (including Orthodox)
- Non-Catholic families
In the event that space is not available for all parish and school families seeking admission, spaces are divided equally between Assumption and St. Bridget parishes. The pastor of each parish determines which children to admit. In these decisions, priority is given to families that are currently active participants in the faith and community life of the parish.
For families applying for grades PreK-8, the same admissions priorities are used when space becomes available. These families are also asked to submit their child’s most recent report card and standardized test scores from his/her current school. Depending on the student’s age, the principal may request an interview with the student and/or academic assessments. We encourage prospective students to visit the school as well.
