Writing Supplies

Assignment notebook (school provided)

2 Composition notebooks with 5X5 Grid - size 9 ¾ by 7 ½, available at Office Depot or UW Bookstore.

2 Spiral notebooks 8 1/2 x 11 (no multiple subject notebooks)

1 Stenographers notebook

3 Ring binder (with metal rings 1 1/2” - 2” spine width)

10 Dividers for binder -- with pockets

Wide-rule binder paper (NOT college-rule) 1 pkg. (100 sheets for home)

1 Pee Chee folder for Music

30 pencils - #2 lead (should always have on hand) (sharpened)

30 ballpoint pens (blue or black-ERASABLE), noneraseable okay accompanied by white out strip.

1 pencil pouch - with 3 holes to fit in binder

1 pad graph paper 1/4 in. squares

 

Art Supplies

Box of thin-line marking pens

Box of colored pencils (sharpened)

Watercolor set (8 colors) with medium brush

Scissors, pointed tip (small size)

1 Bottle of Elmer’s glue & 1 glue stick

 

Miscellaneous

Book bag or backpack  (If you are purchasing a new back-pack, be apprised that the ones on wheels do not fit into the lockers.)

Inexpensive hand held calculator

12” ruler with metric measurement  (no metal) wood or plastic OK

LARGE box of Kleenex to be used as needed during the year

1 Webster’s Dictionary  (paperback) (a Thesaurus is optional)

1 Protractor

*Students are to maintain the above supplies in their desks at all times.

 

Please bring in summer reading book notes on the first day.

Package of granola bars or other snack bars for “Earthquake/Emergency Supplies”.

 

No liquid white-out pens/paint allowed at school.  Whiteout strips are okay unless used inappropriately.

 

In an effort to keep our waste down and to reinforce our Environmental Ed. Program, please try to pack lunches with as many recyclable containers as possible. 

 

Separate P.E. shoes are not required for P.E. classes.  However, good sturdy athletic shoes with laces or Velcro are to be worn on your child’s P.E. days.  Non-athletic “street” shoes are not allowed on the gym floor.
