Instructions for LRS Day

LRS is on Friday, April 23^rd. You may enter the gym to help your child set up his/her project beginning at 8AM. There will be maps posted to show each child’s location. If you need to drop and run, we will also be there to help the students set up their boards.  The kids should then go to their normal line up location and enter the classroom as they normally do at 8:30 so that we can take attendance and explain the day to them.  We won’t head up to the gym to begin presenting until about 9AM.  The kids will spend the day presenting their projects to the entire school, and to family visitors.  They will have recess and lunch as they normally do, and of course go home at 3PM. During the students’ lunch and recess (11:25 – 12:30) the gym will be locked and we will not be accepting visitors or allowing entry to anyone but teachers – the students need a break, and so do we. The students will leave their projects set up, then return from 6-7PM to allow all the parents (friends, extended family, etc.) to view the projects.  They will take their projects home that night.  We will be asking everyone to help us take down and store the tables and other equipment afterwards (“Many hands make light work.”).
